My goal is to be as informative as possible about news in the technological world. Such as news about the next gen game consoles, or even tips and tricks that would help you later on. I hope that my posts will be both informative as well as entertaining for all. I encourage readers to please add your opinion on subjects and if there are things I may have missed add comments telling me about them.
yes im the first comment lol , and i love everything tech . I have an Xbox 360 , so im sure i'll be asking you alot of questions about game consoles :)
ReplyDeleteWhat version Xbox 360 do you have? also did you ever get the scratch of death flaw fixed on it. if not I have an extremely good tip on how to prevent that from happening.
DeleteI have the orginal pro xbox 360, and i've never heard of the scratch of death flaw before...what is it?
ReplyDeleteIf you have a disk in the console and the console gets nudged or nocked over. the disk will physically slam onto the laser diode. A disk in a console is spinning really fast like a couple of thousand rpms so even a fraction of a second of hitting the laser diode will cause a nasty scratch rendering the disk useless. If you google xbox 360 scratch of death you'll see images of what I'm talking about.
DeletePS: for the record i also own a computer repair business where I fix computers and game systems.
Oh, don't even get me started on that bloody game-killing-laser contraption. Honestly, that was a major financial setback. Unfortunately, this is currently a black op and must not be compromised...
Deleteoh wow..that sounds really scary. From now on i have to make sure i put in my disks in carefully, i dont want any of them to be rendered useless. I will totally google some pictures of it and thats really cool . If my xbox ever breaks i know who to call :)
ReplyDeleteI recommend that you keep your console on its side not standing upright cause then there is less of a risk of the disk being jostled in the drive its not really about putting it in the drive carefully its making sure the console itself doesn't get nudged while reading a disk.
DeleteYeah. I stopped playing Xbox 360 games while the 360 was vertical. After 6 games fell victim to the evil scratch ring (not to be confused with a RROD), I started to play on a flat horizontal 360 and triple check disks before putting the slide in.
Deleteahhh ..i never thought of it like that before. I have my xbox upright only because i wanted to keep it out of the way of people walking past. Perhaps it would be better to put it on it's side. I'll try it and see what happens
ReplyDeletelol did'nt mean to get you rallied up , and do you mean a setback for the company?
